3 Billion Trees Pledge

Dear implementing actors of the 3 Billion Trees Pledge,

as part of my master’s thesis, I am investigating elements of biodiversity considered in the implementation of the European Union’s 3 Billion Trees Pledge. This study will help determine the biodiversity benefits of the 3 Billion Tree Pledge, identify opportunities for improvement, and intends to formulate recommendations.

Please complete this max. 25-minute questionnaire to let us know how you are considering or have considered variables/elements of biodiversity in the tree planting sites under the umbrella of the 3 Billion Trees Pledge. It consists of 31 questions, most of which are choice questions. For the success of the study and to include your perspective in the best possible way, it is important that you complete the questionnaire fully and do not omit any question.

All data is collected anonymously, meaning that your responses can neither be linked to you personally nor to your organization, company, or institution. The information you provide will be used for academic research purposes only.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and confidential. Nevertheless, I would like to remind you of Directive 2003/4/ECof the European Parliament and the Council of 28 January 2003 on public access to environmental information and repealing Council Directive 90/313/EC.

The data collected will be used in a manner that protects your anonymity and confidentiality. It will be combined with those gathered from other survey participants and will be analyzed as part of a group. Since this survey is conducted in an anonymous form, no participant-related deletion can take place afterward. The results of this research will be published in my master's thesis and maybe in an academic journal. This is done in an anonymized form.

The survey is being conducted with LimeSurvey, a web server-based software for collecting and recording the data. LimeSurvey has appropriate security measures in place to protect the confidentiality of your responses.
